Marriage Anniversary Puja is a sacred Hindu ritual performed to thank God for togetherness, love, and marital harmony, and to seek divine blessings for a long, happy, and prosperous married life. This puja marks the completion of another year of marriage and strengthens the spiritual bond between husband and wife.

Features

 

  1. Deities Worshipped: Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati (sometimes Lakshmi-Narayan or Radha-Krishna).
  2. Purpose: Gratitude, renewal of vows, blessings for health, happiness, and marital harmony.
  3. Setting: Can be done at home, temple, or with a priest's guidance.
  4. Special Additions: Couples may perform Satyanarayan Katha, Mangal Gauri Puja, or Lakshmi Puja depending on tradition.

Samagri

 

  1. Kalash with mango leaves and coconut
  2. Red/yellow cloth for altar
  3. Roli, haldi, kumkum
  4. Akshat (rice grains)
  5. Flowers (especially red roses or marigold)
  6. Diya (oil lamp) and ghee/oil
  7. Incense sticks, camphor
  8. Panchamrit (milk, curd, honey, ghee, sugar)
  9. Fruits and sweets (especially laddoo, kheer)
  10. Betel leaves and nuts
  11. Gangajal (holy water)
  12. Mantra book or printout (Shiva-Parvati Aarti, Ashtottara)
